International IVP Yvette Trullijo posted this week on Facebook about a fantastic project for our Union Sisters. https://bit.ly/3C8RtTf – a big thank you to Sister Truliigo for spreading this information.
“This International Women’s Day, the ATU is doing a photo collection project to highlight all of the ATU’s fierce women on the frontlines. For the photo’s we’re asking that you recreate the iconic Rosie the Riveter pose, a symbol of women’s strength and contributions to the workforce, similar to the photo attached. We encourage you to wear an ATU shirt or hat to show your union pride if you have one.”
This looks to be an incredibly fun project to get involved with. We would like to extend a hearty invitation to all of our Reps (Stewards etc) and Members to join in! You can submit your photos and information here:
The ask specifies trying to wear ATU garb in your photo and to that end, if you do not have any ATU 583 apparel, we will be offering complimentary shirts via the office for you to participate in this project. Please call 403-258-1258 Ext 0 to get your shirt!
International Women’s Day is March 8th so be sure to get your photo in soon! We can’t wait to see the final outcome of this wonderful project!
The deadline to get your photo in is MARCH 6. If you would like us to assist in taking a photo of you – please feel free to call us at the office to arrange coming in.
